Fall Rotary food drive happening September 26

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Food Bank’s fall push to stock its shelves is set to take place Saturday (Sept. 26) morning.

The fall Rotary food drive will see volunteer teams comb through neighbourhoods around the city to collect donation bags.

The fall food drive usually brings in around 60,000 pounds of food – but last year residents donated a record-breaking 75,000 pounds. The donations of non-perishable items are used over the winter to feed the roughly 10,000 clients who rely on the Kamloops Food Bank, as well as 53 agencies in the area that provide meals and eight smaller regional food banks.
