“It’s the bread and butter. It’s affordability, number one. People are trying to make ends meet. We are talking about people trying to keep their jobs. We are talking about our disastrous healthcare system that we have. The list goes on and on,” said Stamer.

“A lack of investment in our school system, in terms of the capital needs of the school district,” added Milobar. “Where is that Red Bridge we were promised in the last election by David Eby? To healthcare issues that continue to challenge not just Kamloops but the surrounding area, to crime and safety on our streets, and the affordability crisis.”

The BC Conservatives have yet to unveil any major campaign planks as the writ period begins to ramp up.

“‘Oh, it’s going to get better. It’s going to get better.’ Well, we’ve had 10 years of these folks and it’s time for a change. It really is,” said Stamer. “And if now is the time for that change, I hope we can actually convince the people, ‘Yes, get your faith in us.’ We’ve been working our butts off the last two years and we are able to prove that we are the government in waiting.”
