Taylor Swift Drops Surprise Deluxe Album Announcement

Taylor Swift revealed Wednesday that a deluxe edition of her record-breaking album The Life of a Showgirl is dropping this week. Titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, the project features four newly recorded tracks — “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon,” and “Cleveland!” — the latter believed to be inspired by husband Travis Kelce’s Ohio hometown. Swift explained the songs were written during a celebratory trip to Sweden with collaborators Max and Shellback. “We did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs,” she said. The original album debuted with a record 4.002 million album-equivalent units, spent 12 weeks atop the Billboard 200, and produced two Hot 100 number-one singles.
