Mark Hamill, Seth Rogen Lead New Disney+ ‘Darkwing Duck’ Revival

Disney+ has greenlit a new animated Darkwing Duck series, featuring Mark Hamill voicing the iconic title character. Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan, Dan Stevens, Kathyrn Newton, and Lilimar also star, with Rogen playing Launchpad McQuack and Caplan as Gosalyn Mallard. The revival follows Darkwing Duck after 35 years trapped in an alternate world, teaming with a rebellious teen named Duckie to battle old enemies and save the universe. Original creator Tad Stones consulted on the project. The original Emmy-nominated series debuted in 1991, running for 91 episodes with Jim Cummings voicing the lead. No premiere date has been announced.
