Presley Gerber’s Death Investigated As Possible Overdose

The death of Presley Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerber, is being investigated as a “possible overdose,” Santa Monica Police confirmed Monday. Gerber, a model himself, died Sunday at a Santa Monica rehabilitation facility. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner performed an autopsy, but cause and manner of death remain deferred pending additional testing. Gerber had openly documented his mental health and substance abuse struggles on Instagram. His modeling career launched at 16 with Moschino, later walking for Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Ralph Lauren. In 2019, he was charged with driving under the influence, receiving three years’ probation. His family confirmed his passing Sunday, requesting privacy “during this very difficult and painful time.”
