UPDATE: 100 Mile House ER closure called off
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — (UPDATE 5:00 p.m.): Interior Health (IH) said it has secured adequate staffing coverage at the 100 Mile District General Hospital to prevent a 13-hour overnight emergency department closure.
IH said emergency services will be available overnight Thursday (Sept. 17), and the previously announced closure – from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday to 8:00 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 18) morning – will not be taking place.
EARLIER: The emergency department at the 100 Mile District General Hospital will be closed overnight, marking the 39th closure of 2026.
Interior Health (IH) said the ER will be closed for 13 hours, from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 17) to 8:00 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 18).
