City of Kamloops investigating after seizure of dogs involved in Valleyview attack
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is “very confident” it is in possession of two dogs that were involved in an attack in Valleyview that sent one man to hospital, and an investigation into the fate of the animals is currently underway.
Community Services Manager Will Beatty told CFJC Today that the dogs were located on Sept. 5, three days after the Sept. 2 attack in the area of Kelly Douglas Road and Vicars Road.
“In these sorts of investigations, that’s a fairly quick timeline to be able to get the information to make sure that we’ve got the legal justification to seize the dogs, to make sure that the attack did occur and make sure that we have the right dogs,” Beatty said Friday (Sept. 11).
