Paramount Pictures is developing a feature film adaptation of the classic TV series Hawaii Five-O. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed the blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is set to helm the project. Chris Bremner, writer of Bad Boys for Life, penned the script. Plot details remain undisclosed as the film is in early development. The original Hawaii Five-O ran from 1968 to 1980 and became American television’s longest-running police drama. A CBS reboot aired from 2010 to 2020. Cretton’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has earned $924 million domestically and $2.4 billion globally, putting it near the top of all-time box office records worldwide.
