Ritcey joins crowded race for Kamloops council
KAMLOOPS — There are now 17 official candidates for eight spots around the horseshoe at Kamloops city hall.
Jesse Ritcey will take his second shot at office, after receiving just shy of 6,000 votes in the 2022 race. Ritcey was born and raised in Kamloops.
“Ritcey is the program manager for the Kamloops Naturalist Club (KNC), a registered charity that focuses on nature conservation and education,” reads his press release. “He is also president of the Kamloops-Centre BC NDP electoral association, a position which has given him a unique opportunity to raise important community issues like the Red Bridge rebuild and expanding transit with the province’s cabinet ministers and the premier”
