Kamloops RCMP urging caution as students prepare to return to class after Labour Day
KAMLOOPS — School zone speed limits will be returning across the City of Kamloops on Tuesday (Sept. 8) and police are urging both drivers and pedestrians to be cautious.
“Expect the unexpected,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said. “Look for those extra students that might be jumping in and out of traffic or cars as we return back to school next week.”
“We’d also like to encourage pedestrians and parents as well to model proper crossing, so use designated crosswalks and make sure that traffic has stopped in both directions before advancing.”
