Vehicle infractions, call for assistance leads to notable police presence in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A traffic stop led to a bright, notable police presence in downtown Kamloops Friday (Sept. 4) night. 

At around 10:10 p.m., Kamloops RCMP say an officer stopped a vehicle for several motor vehicle act infractions. Police say the driver became “increasingly more aggressive and erratic,” leading to a call for additional assistance at Fourth Avenue and Nicola Street.

In an email to CFJC Today, RCMP say the vehicle was towed due to multiple mechanical issues. The driver was released with charge.
