August 30, 2026 

On August 30, 2026, with his wife, Phyllis, by his side, Adolph (age 92) passed away after a lengthy illness with dementia. 

Adolph and Phyllis would have celebrated 64 years of marriage in September. 

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, sisters Tilly, Elizabeth, and Margaret (George), as well as brother Eddy (Ann). 

He was predeceased by sisters Annie, Addie, Holly, and Alice, and by brothers Martin, Frank, Willy, and Michael. 

Adolph had a lengthy career with Winnipeg Hydro as a lineman. At Hydro he made many life-long friends with his coworkers. He had trained many future electricians and linemen. Adolph has left behind many wonderful memories at Hydro. 

Adolph was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing as well as picking wild mushrooms and all kinds of various berries. He did this at his various cottages, whether at Royal Lake or Paddy Lake, Ontario, or Turtle Lake, Saskatchewan. He was a very kind, gentle man and was loved by all of his nieces and nephews. Family meant a lot to him. 

Adolph and Phyllis did a lot of travelling. They took in a total of six cruises, as well as visited many countries in Europe. They also travelled across Canada, to Hawaii, Mexico, Texas, California, and Africa. 

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2027. 

Special thanks to the caring and dedicated nurses, care aids, staff at Kamloops Seniors Village, and Dr. Wynne.
