August a slow cooker for the Kamloops real estate market
KAMLOOPS — August was a summer bummer for the Kamloops real estate market.
New numbers from the Association of Interior Realtors (AIR) show 217 residential units changed hands in the Kamloops and District region in August, down from 254 units sold in July. It’s also down 1.4 per cent compared to August 2025.
Kamloops residents remained hesitant to put their homes on the market, as well. AIR says 374 new listings were recorded in the Kamloops area in August, down from 457 in July and 12 per cent from the same month in 2025.
Active listings sit at 1,406 as of the end of August, a decrease of 5.3 per cent year-over-year.
