Complex of wildfires near Boston Bar being held; Pear Lake blaze no longer a fire of note
KAMLOOPS — A pair of large blazes that forced hundreds of residents to evacuate from their homes are no longer classified as “wildfires of note.”
In an update Thursday (Sept. 3) morning, the BC Wildfire Service says the Ainslie Creek fire near Boston Bar is classified as being held, while the Pear Lake fire near Clinton is still burning out of control.
The wildfire service says a wildfire of note is an incident that creates an increased level of interest. It’s designed to make it easier to find on its online map and access response information.
