Lionel Richie Hospitalized Again As Doctors Investigate Possible Heart Issue

Lionel Richie, 77, is back in the hospital after his Saturday concert at St. Louis’ Muny Amphitheater. Doctors initially treated him for dehydration following his North American tour stop with Earth, Wind & Fire. TMZ reports his medical team is now evaluating a possible cardiac issue, with potential discharge expected Wednesday. During the show, Richie was seen sitting while performing “All Night Long.” This isn’t his first health scare this summer. In June, he ended a St. Paul, Minnesota show early after repeated dizzy spells during “Dancing on the Ceiling,” later canceling dates in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio. On July 4, Richie posted on Instagram stating, “I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you.” He has not publicly addressed his latest hospitalization.
