Campfire bans coming off in Kamloops, Cariboo regions

KAMLOOPS — As days cool down and nights become longer, campfire bans in the Kamloops and Cariboo Fire Centres are being lifted.

The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) says Category 1 fires will be permitted in both regions as of 12:00 noon on Thursday (Sept. 3).

A campfire ban came into effect in the Kamloops Fire Centre on July 10. The Cariboo Fire Centre followed suit on July 22.
