Former Kamloops councillor Dhaliwal to launch mayoral campaign

KAMLOOPS — A fourth competitor has emerged in the race for the Kamloops mayor’s chair this fall.

Former councillor Ray Dhaliwal has confirmed he will launch his mayoral campaign this Friday (Sept. 4).

Dhaliwal, a local locksmith and business owner, served on council for about one year, beginning in 2017. He was one of two councillors elected in a by-election, then came up just short in his bid for re-election in 2018 – finishing ninth in the race for one of eight council seats.
