Armstrong RCMP Musical Ride canceled due to wildfires

ARMSTRONG, B.C. — The RCMP is calling off its Musical Ride event in Armstrong this weekend due to the wildfire situation in the province.

The event was initially scheduled for Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 15 and 16), but the RCMP decided to call the event off because of the wildfires raging across the region.

“The decision was made out of an abundance of caution, with the safety and well-being of our horses, riders and the communities where we perform as our top priority,” said RCMP officials.

“We understand the disappointment this cancellation may cause and appreciate the public’s understanding as communities continue to navigate the current circumstances.”
