Williams Lake Council approves 51-unit supportive housing complex
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Williams Lake Council has given their approval for a new four-storey, 51-unit supportive housing complex.
The applicant — Altus Group, working on behalf of BC Housing — will replace the existing 33-unit supportive housing development with a new, larger facility.
The new building will have a combination of accessible and couple-oriented suites with hopes to offer safe, stable and inclusive housing for vulnerable Williams Lake residents.
“The development will increase the number of supportive housing units available in Williams lake while replacing an aging building with a modern facility designed to provide safe, stable housing and support services for residents facing barriers to traditional housing,” the City of Williams Lake states.
