‘We want to continue the legacy’: Ribfest’s new era underway in Riverside Park
KAMLOOPS – Rahim (Big Delicious) Berisha was in fine form on Friday [Aug. 7] morning at Ribfest, the Boss Hog’s ribber in full voice leading chants while the first customers of the weekend chowed down.
“What I love personally is the community, the people,” Berisha said. “I’m here working my butt off for the enjoyment of the people. Them getting that piece of rib and biting into it and you see their faces and the joy after it, it melts my heart.”
Last year, Kamloops Daybreak Rotary Club stepped away from running the event, ending a 13-year tenure at the helm.
