National champion Smigielski to play NCAA lacrosse, offers praise to Kamloops mentors
KAMLOOPS — Alivia Smigielski is a two-time national lacrosse champion at age 17.
The Regis University Rangers-committed defender credits many people for her success, including her older brother, Beckett.
“He kind of trained me up in the backyard and started making me the player I am today,” Alivia said. “We’re really close. He’s kind of like my No. 1 guy. It’s really important to have someone that’s also an athlete in my family to have that connection to talk about lacrosse with them.”
