NorthPaws finish outside postseason picture in 2026, wrap up season with loss in Nanaimo

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws wrapped up the 2022 West Coast League (WCL) season with a series loss in Nanaimo. 

After splitting the first two games earlier this week, an 8-7 loss on Monday and a 5-1 win on Tuesday, the NorthPaws fell to the NightOwls on Vancouver Island Wednesday (Aug. 5) 15-8. 

The NorthPaws finished the 2026 WCL season with a 22-32 record, good for second last in the North Division standings. It’s a downgrade from their 25-29 record in 2025 but it’s the Kamloops’ third highest win total since finishing 26-29 in their inaugural season in 2022 where they advanced to the playoffs. 

The NorthPaws have finished outside of the WCL postseason picture for the fourth consecutive year.
