Missing motorcyclist rescued from Pinantan Lake area

KAMLOOPS — First responders helped rescue a missing motorcyclist who was spotted in the Pinantan Lake area. 

Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) says they were tasked by the RCMP at around 10:20 a.m. Monday (Aug. 3) to search for the missing person who was last seen the previous Friday (July 31). 

In a post to social media Tuesday, KSAR says it deployed 16 members with response vehicles and UTVs. They also requested support from Provincial Emergency Program air volunteers. 

Once the person was spotted by a convergent searcher, KSAR says its members were requested to assist BC Emergency Health Services with the rescue.
