SEYMOUR ARM, B.C. — Crews were able to contain a fire to a cabin on the north end of Shuswap Lake.

The Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) says it dispatched the Anglemont Fire Department with a crew, one mini-engine and one tender truck to a structure in the Seymour Arm area. The regional district says it was made aware of the fire near Bradley Road as of 8:30 p.m. Monday (Aug. 3).

In an update at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, the CSRD says the fire is in mop-up stage, although the cabin where the fire originated from is destroyed.

The CSRD adds that crews from the Anglemont Fire Department and the BC Wildfire Service stayed on scene to deal with remaining hot spots.
