New cluster of small fires reported south of Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — UPDATE (8:55 p.m.): As of 8:55 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 1), the cluster has expanded to 12 separate fires, all considered spot-sized.
Six of the fires were listed as ‘out of control’, two were ‘being held’ and four were ‘under control’.
EARLIER: A cluster of new wildfire starts has been reported south of Williams Lake.
The six fires are all spot-sized and burning to the south and southwest of the Felker Fire, which has been burning west of Highway 97 since July 23.
