Toronto Tempo acquire forward Aneesah Morrow from the Connecticut Sun
TORONTO — The Toronto Tempo acquired forward Aneesah Morrow from the Connecticut Sun in exchange for a second-round pick at the 2028 WNBA draft and the rights to Maria Kliundikova on Friday.
Toronto waived guard Tima Pouye in a corresponding move after the deal, which will be completed pending a physical.
Morrow owned a league-leading 31.9 per cent defensive rebounding rate as a rookie last season.
The 23-year-old averaged 11.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and just over 23 minutes through 20 games with Connecticut in 2026. She’s also recorded nine double-doubles, tied for the eighth-most in the WNBA.
