October 26, 1935 — July 22, 2026

Liz passed away peaceful on Wednesday July 26, 2026, at the age of 90. Liz was born in Whitemouth, MB to parents Julianna and Ludwig Derecki. She was a loving mother to Julie Biluk (Darrell McDonagh) of Edmonton, AB and Dianne Richmond (Don) of Brockville, ON. Also, a wonderful grandmother to Christopher Richmond of Ottawa, ON and Stephanie (John) Clifford of London, ON. She was a very proud great grandmother to Johnny Clifford. Liz was predeceased by her loving sisters, Bernice Guzaik (Frank), Angela Dereski, Rosalia Jakobsze (Kazmier), Helen Wozney (Frank), Josephine Lokstet (Harvey), Victoria Andrews (Larry), Margaret Endler and her dear brothers Edward (Gladys) Dereski, Walter (Kay) Dereski, Stanley (Audrey) Dereski, and Louis (Astrid) Dereski. She is the aunt to many nieces and nephews that lived from coast to coast across Canada.

Vern Cave was the love of her life. They had the honour of spending many joyful years together. They both shared in the love of music by playing, singing and dancing. Together they provided entertainment to many people, at any opportunity they could find. Their music brought joy and happiness to many.

Liz always liked to keep busy. She found satisfaction in many crafts such as knitting, crocheting and cross-stitch. Cake decorating was her main passions, with her creating many spectacular wedding and special occasion cakes. She will forever be in our hearts. Loved but not forgotten!

A Celebration of Life for Liz Biluk will be held at Schoening Funeral Service, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 2G8, on July 31, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Following the service, the family invites you join them for food, refreshments, and fellowship in the Funeral Home’s reception room. Interment will be held at a later date in the fall in Whitemouth, MB.
