Salmon Arm RCMP arrest woman following community garden vandalism

SALMON ARM, B.C. — Salmon Arm RCMP have arrested a woman on suspicion of vandalizing the community garden earlier this month.

On July 13, police received a report from a man who said the community garden and fruit trees were damaged overnight, noting that the produce from the garden and the trees are used to feed those in need.

Surveillance footage helped police identify a well-known 33-year-old woman as the suspect.

“The woman was arrested on July 15 and later released on conditions with a future court date to speak to the allegations,” said Salmon Arm RCMP.
