Crime in Kamloops corridors trending down
KAMLOOPS — Second-quarter street disorder numbers presented to Kamloops council committee Monday (July 27) show some encouraging signs.
The numbers were presented to the Safety and Security Select Committee by Protective Services Director Ken Uzeloc and Community Services Manager Will Beatty.
Within seven defined corridors considered the most problematic in the city, there was a 10 per cent decrease in overall calls to the RCMP from the same quarter in 2025. Criminal code-related calls were down two per cent.
