United Way BC supporting wildfire evacuees with province-wide appeal for donations
KAMLOOPS — The United Way of British Columbia (UWBC) has launched a province-wide appeal for donations to help support wildfire evacuees across the province.
Thousands of B.C. residents are currently under evacuation orders or alerts, and the United Way wants to help ensure there is money to help support evacuees during their time of need and not after the fact.
Kristi Rintoul, the United Way’s senior director of community impact and investment, said the organization is working closely with non-profits and other community agencies to help direct resources.
