Lost Earring Project raises over $4,000 for Kamloops Women’s Emergency Shelter
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Courthouse Gallery Artisan’s Co-Op announced that its Lost Earring Project has raised $4,058 for the Kamloops Y Women’s Emergency Shelter.
The initiative had community members donating their old jewelry, which was then used by local artists to produce over 250 unique art pieces.
Visitors were invited to view and purchase the pieces, with 50 per cent of the proceeds gong to support the Kamloops Y Women’s Shelter.
“During the month-long event, 68 pieces of artwork found new homes, with the exhibition receiving an enthusiastic response from the community.” said the Kamloops Courthouse Gallery Artisan’s Co-op.
