NorthPaws take two of three in Edmonton
EDMONTON — The Kamloops NorthPaws blew out the Edmonton Riverhawks on the road Wednesday (July 22) to win their three-game series 2-1.
After splitting their first two games (6-5 Kamloops on Monday, 6-5 Edmonton on Tuesday), the NorthPaws took the rubber match 15-2.
A three-run homerun from third baseman Matt Macdonald was part of a seven-run first inning from the NorthPaws. At one point, Kamloops led the Riverhawks 13-0. As a team, Kamloops put up 15 hits and walked 11 times.
Starting pitcher Alex Lee allowed one unearned run on three hits and one walk over seven innings while striking out four batters.
