Kamloops man facing gun, child sexual abuse material charges after raid on North Shore home
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say a raid on a North Shore home last week has resulted in a series of charges against a local man.
Local Mounties joined forces with members of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT) last Thursday (July 16) to storm a home in the 1200-block of 12th Street.
“The Emergency Response Team was deployed as a precautionary measure to assist with the safe execution of the search warrant,” said Cpl. Dana Napier in a release issued Wednesday. “The arrest was completed without incident, and we appreciate the public’s cooperation and patience throughout the operation.”
Now facing charges is Robert Owen Alger, 61. Alger is charged with uttering threats, offences related to gun possession and possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
