Kamloops to hire hundreds of election officials for 2026 General Local Election
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops aims to hire around 250 election officials to help out with the 2026 General Local Election on Saturday, October 17.
The City will have 16 polling stations around the community, and Kamloops officials invite all of those interested to apply and staff those locations.
Election officials will be responsible for a variety of tasks, such as registering voters, reviewing and confirming identification, and issuing ballots.
City staff notes that each polling station will need one presiding election official and one alternate who will oversee the conduct of their assigned voting place, supervise election officials, ensures the voting location is safe and accessible, and all voting procedures are followed.
