Construction to begin at Southill Street intersection in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Consutruction is set to begin at a major Kamloops intersection on Monday (July 6), where a detour route has already been set up.

The City of Kamloops says work at the intersection of Tranquille Road and Southill Street is linked to the ongoing Tranquille Road sewer replacement project.

City staff say work will begin with asphalt removal, followed by other construction activities, including: hydrovac work and utility locates, gravel removal, subgrade preparation and road excavation/cutting, and delivery and placement of pipe and construction materials.

The Brock Centre Shopping Mall and Riverbend Complex will remain open and accessible to all patrons while this work is ongoing.
