Kamloops International Cup to feature Nottingham Forest women’s first team
KAMLOOPS — For the first time in its brief history, the Kamloops International Cup will host a senior team from a professional soccer club.
Nottingham Forest women’s team, based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, will arrive in Kamloops at the end of July to play a trio of matches and host a youth camp.
Nottingham Forest WFC finished seventh out of 12 clubs during the 2025-26 Women’s Super League 2 season. While they avoided relegation, they weren’t able to earn promotion to the top-level Women’s Super League. During its first season as a full-time professional soccer club, Nottingham posted a record of nine wins, three draws and 10 losses, good for 30 points in 22 matches.
Along with Nottingham Forest’s women’s first team, the third annual Kamloops International Cup will feature three other women’s clubs – the Vancouver Rise FC Academy, a BC Premier League Selects team and the hosts, Kamloops United FC.
