Blazers release 2026-27 schedule as WHL to pilot new overtime format during preseason
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have released their schedule for the 2026-27 WHL season, with a majority of their home games at Sandman Centre scheduled to be played after the December holiday break.
The 68-game season – which features no three game weekends – will begin on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Sandman Centre against the Victoria Royals. Kamloops will play 22 of its 34 home games in the second half of the season, with 15 home games scheduled in either February or March.
The Blazers will play 23 home games on Friday and Saturday nights, eight on Wednesday nights and three afternoon games. Matinee matchups include a Thanksgiving (Monday, Oct. 12) tilt against the Portland Winterhawks, a meeting with the Moose Jaw Warriors on Remembrance Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11) and a Family Day (Monday, Feb. 15) clash against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. for all Wednesday and Friday night games – except for the New Year’s Day game against the Kelowna Rockets, which starts at 4:00 p.m. All Saturday games will once again get underway at 6:00 p.m., while matinee games begin at 2:00 p.m.
