Movie filming to hit Merritt streets this week
MERRITT, B.C. — Merritt residents may notice some commotion along Quilchena Avenue this week, but there is no cause for alarm as a film crew is shooting a movie in the area.
Starting Tuesday (June 30) from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the film crew will be recording scenes of stunt actors performing a confrontation scene with simulated gunfire towards a vehicle.
“During this time, you may hear intermittent loud “popping” sounds,” the city cautioned.
On Canada Day Wednesday (July 1), the crew will shoot scenes with the actors performing a simulated gunfight inside a building between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The crew will also be filming more simulated gunfire scenes on Thursday (July 2) between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
