NorthPaws take three-game series with NightOwls after 8-4 win Sunday
KAMLOOPS — After losing five of their previous six games, the Kamloops NorthPaws got back on track by defeating the Nanaimo NightOwls in a three-game series 2-1.
The NorthPaws blew out the NightOwls 9-2 from Norbrock Stadium on Friday (June 26) before Nanaimo returned serve with a 5-1 win of their own Saturday.
In the rubber match Sunday, the NorthPaws broke out offensively in the third inning thanks to a three-run home run from Dylan Dekker in the third inning. Two errors by Nanaimo would allow in two more NorthPaws runs, which would be enough en route to securing the 8-4 win.
Pitcher Kyu Lumsdon allowed one earned run on six hits through six innings while striking out two for the NorthPaws.
