Keanu Reeves Joins New Lego Movie Project With ‘Toy Story 4’ Director
Keanu Reeves is set to star in an untitled Lego movie directed by Josh Cooley, who helmed Toy Story 4. The project reunites the duo after Reeves voiced Duke Caboom in the animated sequel. Universal Pictures is backing the live-action/CG hybrid film, though details remain unclear whether Reeves will appear on screen or provide voice work. Plot specifics, screenwriter, and additional cast members haven’t been revealed. Universal acquired Lego film rights in 2020 and reportedly must greenlight a project within six months before rights expire. Previous Lego films at Warner Bros generated over $1 billion, starting with 2014’s The Lego Movie. Recent entries like The Lego Ninjago Movie and The Lego Movie 2 underperformed commercially, leading Warner Bros to abandon the franchise.
