Blazers to play six preseason games ahead of 2026-27 WHL season
KAMLOOPS — It’s the first full day of summer, but the Kamloops Blazers already have hockey on their minds.
The Blazers will six preseason games over 12 days in September – three of which will be at Sandman Centre – ahead of their home opener on Sept. 19 against the Victoria Royals. It’ll be a new look Blazers squad as their top four scorers from last season are all transitioning to the NCAA ranks.
Kamloops will host the Penticton Vees in its preseason opener on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at the Sandman Centre. They’ll also host the Kelowna Rockets two days later on Friday, Sept. 4, with both games scheduled to get underway at 7:00 p.m.
The Blazers will also play the Rockets at Prospera Place at 6:05 p.m. on Sept. 5, the Vees at the South Okanagan Events Centre at 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and the Prince George Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the West Fraser Centre in Quesnel.
