Kamloops RCMP searching for missing 50-year-old man
KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops are asking for help in locating a 50-year-old man who was last seen on Friday (June 19), about a week after he was reported missing.
Kamloops RCMP say Timothy Hughes was reported missing to police on Saturday, June 13 by his sister, and they note efforts to find him to date have been unsuccessful.
“The investigation has determined that Timothy was last known to have been seen on the North Shore in Kamloops on [June 19] and is known to frequent the Kamloops parks and areas near the Thompson River as he is an avid kayaker,” Kamloops RCMP said in a statement.
Reached for clarification on the two dates, Kamloops RCMP S/Sgt. Chris Kienzle told CFJC Today that while staff at a local business on the North Shore believe the spotted Hughes on June 19, his family hasn’t heard from him since the day he was reported missing.
