Counterfeit bills in circulation in 100 Mile area
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP are receiving reports of counterfeit bills in circulation in the 100 Mile area.
On Friday, June 12, 100 Mile House RCMP say they were told of a man attempting to pay for items using a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on Horse Lake Road.
Police say when the man was confronted about the bill being fake, he paid for the items with a debit card and left before officers arrived.
In a news release issued Tuesday (June 16), RCMP say the man was identified, although it doesn’t mention if he was arrested or charged. The investigation is ongoing.
