100 Mile House ER to close for second time this week
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The emergency room at the 100 Mile District General Hospital will be closed overnight on Saturday (June 6), the second 13-hour closure in less than a week.
Interior Health said the 100 Mile House ER will be closed for from 6 p.m. on Saturday (June 6) to 7 a.m. on Sunday (June 7), but all other inpatient services will be available in the meantime.
Those seeking emergency care can go to the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during the closure, which is an hour-long drive away.
“People in the community who need life-threatening emergency care (i.e., chest pains, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding) should always call 911 for transport to the nearest available and appropriate facility,” said Interior Health officials.
