KFR quickly handles interface fire Friday morning

KAMLOOPS — Another example of the dry conditions around the interior this morning, as Kamloops Fire Rescue was called into action.

KFR responded with an engine, water tanker and two bush trucks to a fire estimated at 100 by 50 feet, quickly extinguishing the blaze. Reports from the scene had the fire burning rank two just up from the river bank out past Valleyview towards Dallas.

Kamloops Fire Rescue did temporarily stop rail traffic in the area so they could stretch their hose lines across to the blaze.
