CSRD issues boil water notice for Cedar Heights Water System
CEDAR HEIGHTS, B.C. — The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) has issued a boil water notice for the Cedar Heights Water System following debris flow into the Shuswap watershed.
The CSRD said the boil water notice was put in place on Wednesday (June 3) due to high turbidity detected in the water.
Officials said this is likely due to the Ross Creek debris flow that occurred last Friday (May 29).
The CSRD and Interior Health ask residents to boil water for at least one minute before use, add two drops of household bleach per litre of water or find a safe alternative water source until the notice is lifted.
