RCMP seize drugs and weapons from Merritt home after gun threat

KAMLOOPS — A reported gun threat led to a drug bust in Merritt Tuesday (June 2). 

Merritt RCMP say they responded to a report of threats involving a firearm although a specific time was not provided in a news release issued Wednesday. 

Police were told the suspect fled to a home in the 2100-block of Quilchena Avenue before officers were called. RCMP say they contained the area, executed a search warrant of the home and found drugs and weapons. Police say “multiple individuals” were arrested. 

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and charges may be considered.
