Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash on Coquihalla Highway Monday
UPDAE (9:30 a.m.): Hope RCMP S/Sgt. Mike Sargent says the driver in the single-vehicle collision on the Coquihalla Highway lost control of their motorcycle.
The motorcyclist remains in hospital in critical condition. No other injuries were reported and Sargent says no criminality is suspected.
EARLIER: HOPE, B.C. — One patient was airlifted to hospital in serious condition after a vehicle incident that closed northbound traffic on the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt.
BC Emergency Health Services told CFJC Today paramedics received the call for a vehicle incident involving a motorcycle on Highway 5 near Shylock Road north of Hope at 6:08 p.m. Monday (June 1). An air ambulance with critical care paramedics and two ground ambulances – one with primary care paramedics and another with advanced care paramedics – responded to the scene.
