Kamloops brings back Riverside Park Responsible Liquor Consumption Pilot
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is allowing residents to party – responsibly – at Riverside Park again this spring and summer with the return of the Responsible Liquor Consumption Pilot Program.
The city said this policy will allow visitors to bring their own liquor to a designated area within Riverside Park between noon and 9:00 a.m. until October 1.
Kamloops said the program takes inspiration from similar successful initiatives in other Canadian municipalities.
In a statement, city officials said the program aims to assess the impacts of permitting responsible drinking in a designated public space.
