Kamloops United FC women pick up point, men fall to TSS Rovers
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops United FC’s women’s team picked up a point in their B.C. Premier League match over the weekend.
Anika Black scored in the 11th minute as Kamloops earned a 1-1 draw with TSS Rovers FC of Richmond Friday (May 29) night at Hillside Stadium. Kamloops played a woman down from the 56th minute onward as Katherine McCleary was sent off with a red card.
The draw ended a five-match losing stream for the Kamloops women squad. They sit seventh in the table with a record of one win, seven losses and one draw, good for four points in nine matches.
Meantime, Kamloops United FC’s men’s team is still searching for their first win of the B.C. Premier League season. They fell to TSS Rovers 2-0 at Hillside Stadium Friday, surrendering two goals before playing down a man from the 35th minute onward. Domenico Comita was taken off with a red card.
